Just as you get a pre-season physical examination, a pre-season sports screening is offered as a more in-depth examination of movement. You will be assessed on basic movement patterns to help identify specific functional deficits. The basic movements reflect a combination of muscle strength, range of motion, flexibility, balance, coordination, and proprioception. We utilize the functional movement screen to identify potential risk factors that may lead to injury. Finally, we will be able to create an individualized program that focuses on modifying and correcting movement patterns, enhancing sport performance, and preventing possible injury.
